  3. ULTRA 64 UK RELEASE DATE POSTPONED

  5. Nintendo has announced that the Ultra 64 will not be released in the
  6. UK until Spring 1996. This means all those SNES UK owners dying to upgrade
  7. have another year to wait!
  8. It's billed as Nintendo's wonder machine and the preliminary specs look
  9. fantastic:

  11. CPU - 32 bit RISC clocked at 105.58MHz! 64-bit bus
  12. Special graphics chips
  13. 2mb Ram memory + DRAM
  14. Texture mapped graphics
  15. 24 bit colours;16.8 million
  16. 16 bit stereo with 32 PCM channels
  17. ...and possibly more to come.....

  19. One thing is puzzling though, Nintendo are sticking with their decision
  20. to stay cartridge based - possible to keep the SNES mob interested???
